Open a Terminal, run this command:
rm ~/Library/Preferences/*LSSharedFileList.plist

This will however inte clean out all of the list if they're not all specified *.plist:
rm ~/Library/Preferences/*.plist

or individually specified:
rm ~/Library/Preferences/com.pixelmatorteam.pixelmator.plist
rm ~/Library/Preferences/com.skype.skype.plist
rm ~/Library/Preferences/com.spotify.client.plist
rm ~/Library/Preferences/com.sublimetext.3.plist
rm ~/Library/Preferences/com.teamviewer.TeamViewer.plist
rm ~/Library/Preferences/com.teamviewer.teamviewer9.plist

Alternatively:
defaults delete NSGlobalDomain NSNavRecentPlaces
defaults write -g NSNavRecentPlacesLimit -int 0

which removes the 'NSNavRecentPlaces' from the file:
~/Library/Preferences/.GlobalPreferences.plist
