Cannot install and/or upgrade Microsoft Essential Security

01. Start -> Run -> services.msc -> Enter
02. Microsoft Antimalware Service
03. Properties
04. Tab: General
05. Change; Startup type to: Manual
06. Click; Stop
07. Tab: Recovery
08. Change; First and Secondary Failure to: Take no action
09. Microsoft or FTP Mirror Download and install Cleanup Utility
10. Normally installed to: C:\Program Files\Windows Installer Clean Up
11. Run it
12. Select individually the Microsoft Essential Security and Antimalware entries -- Click REMOVE
13. Go to Add Remove Prorgams/Program and Features
14. Right click the Microsoft Essential Security, choose uninstall
15. Download the newest Microsoft Essential Security package
16. Install the new package again (sometimes it can be good to reboot before the installation)
