To Remember:
This CM10 Android 4.1.1 ROM tutorial is only for HTC Desire HD. Please don’t try this on any other variants of the phone.
Make sure you backup all your data in your phone before proceeding as this tutorial will wipe all your data.
This is not an official HTC software update. This is a custom third-party ROM.
Bootloader should be unlocked. How?:

from article "Turn on the phone while pressing and holding the Volume Down + Power buttons." do these steps instead:
- With your phone powered off, press and hold the VOLUME UP and VOLUME DOWN buttons.
- While holding the volume buttons, press the POWER button briefly and then release it.
- When you see a warning message on the screen, release the VOLUME UP and VOLUME DOWN buttons.
